Breaking the rules

Oh how pride falls. I'm sure every new mom does this, we tell ourselves that there are certain things that we just will not do. But here I am, confessing that I have done not one but TWO things this month that were on my list of things I wouldn't do.

Number One: I wrote a group thank you. My painting group bought be a super cool baby sling, and rather than write 6 thank you notes, I wrote one. It was just sheer laziness, but I honestly can't tell you that I would do it differently now.

Number Two: I plopped Sophie down in her little chair the other day and turned on the only movie she watches (Little People) so that I could work. When it was over, I even started in again. I'm not going to lie, it was nice to be able to sit down and do my work without having to stop every two minutes to avert some potential disaster. That's the biggest hurdle about working from home, it is so easy to get distracted. So if anyone knows of any place to get other Little People movies, let me know!!!

This post cracks me up because I too have broken all the good mama rules I declared before having kids. I think when you have more than one kid you just have to let some rules go just to keep your sanity! For me it's been food related. I always planned to never introduce junk food or sweets but here I am feeding Andrew a "frosty" from Wendy's just to get him to eat something!

I was thinking http://www.amazon.com because if you buy a couple or a book or something else too... you get free shipping over $39 before tax! and that's always great
