We have created a monster

Sophie is certifiably nutso over her eye drops. Mamaw got her a bottle for her baby doll (Peyton), and she only uses it to put it in his eyes, or her eyes. Last night she threw a royal fit because she couldn't reach her eye drops. I'm serious, we are going to go get some Visine today so that she has eye drops. We can't use the other ones anymore because they have antibiotics in them, but there is just no explaining that to her. She just stands there pointing to the bottle while demanding in her best I'm the boss voice "EYE!!".

heh, that's too funny. you could get just regular saline solution and that wouldn't do anything but refresh her eyes. maybe this is the story you'll tell when she grows up to be an opthomologist.

As "un-natural" as this new fascination might be, count your blessings. When my oldest was about 16 months old, she got a terrible double eye infection. It took 3 adults to hold her down and get the drops in her eyes (most of them, anyway). If you haven't done the calculation, that was one more adult than lived in our house. Yes, I had to ask people to come over to help torture my child multiple times a day, everyday. UGH!!!
