Catching Up- A lot.

So I've been a negligent blogger. It happens from time to time. This week has been a very busy work week so it's been harder than normal to check in, but here are a few goings on.

Jacob is still loving the new job. He comes home every day with new things he has learned and what he needs to improve on. It's been interesting for all of us to hear what he does every night.

Keegan hit a growth spurt and now resembles the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. I would show you but the camera is still screwed up. Next stop... new battery. Lets just say he has a lot of chin, and a LOT of thigh.

Sophie was taking a bath the other day and Keegan was in his bouncy seat in the bathroom while Jacob was getting ready for work. He said that Sophie kept looking over the side of the tub and saying "Neenan" (that's her Keegan) and then ducking to hide from him. I think that qualifies as their first play time together.

Soph has started answering questions. She shakes her head no or says "k". It's really weird to have her respond after so long of just talking to ourselves!

Sophie LOVES to help me clean. She sweeps, she dusts, she picks up when I ask her to, she lint rolls, she "helps" with the laundary. It's pretty funny to see her run around with her little rag wiping off everything in her reach. You just have to make sure of what she is wiping things off with, becuase the other day I caught her with a tissue that she had just blown her nose on, happily wiping snot all over the coffee table. Some kind of help...

The kids have both been sick. K had a fever for days and Sophie did too for a bit. She still has some sort of stomach bug though. It started three days ago when she ate breakfast, got down from her high chair and quite promptly puked it all up. Did I mention I have been working every morning, leaving Jacob all alone with the kids? She has not had a meal since then as she will not eat if her stomach hurts. What little she has eaten very quickly makes an appearance out the other end. It's just been loads of fun around here, I'm telling you. Tonight she finally ate dinner and we thought we were in the clear... boy we are stupid sometimes. Sophie was yelling at Jacob while he was in the bathroom. The conversation went like this...

Dad. Dad. DAD. DAD.

Just a second Soph.

DAD. DAD. DADDY.

Hold on a second.

DADDY. DADDY. DADDY.

Here I come, here I am... ARGH! ANDI, ANDI I NEED YOU! NOW! ANDI I NEED YOU NOW! ANDI! NOW!

Sophie was literally dripping poop out of her pants, and she was NOT happy about it. It was everywhere. She is obviously still not well. What a mess.

I had yet another derby practice, I'm still loving it entirely. I got my skates in the mail and Jacob took me skating today to help me get better at skating backwards. He is going with me on Wednesday after church to see if he wants to help ref. Jacob is a fantastic skater. I wish there was a roller hockey league around here, he would love it. I've narrowed my name choices down a bit... Misty Meaner was taken, and right now my current favorite is Frankly Scarlett. But I also like Classy Felony and J.K. Rolling. Raggedy Andy and Andiana Jones were taken too, along with Agony Christy. Bummer.

Jacob participated in the local Polar Bear Plunge. For those of you that don't know it's where people raise money for special olympics by promising to jump into a lake in February. Being the newest member of the honorable Fraternal Order of Police, they deemed it appropriate that he be included in the team they were sponsoring (Jacob was not really thrilled by this!). Everyone that participated was a really good sport though the water was freezing! The FOP guys dressed in British Constable hats and pig noses. It was funny enough to land them first place in the costume contest!

Sophie thinks that Jacob's nipples are ouchies and tell him this frequently.

We went to dinner tonight with my dad and step mom and had a great time. We are lucky that Sophie and Keegan have so many good grandparents in their lives. They are very blessed and so are we.

Momma- my spell check isn't working either. Crud. I'm not going over all this, you'll all just have to see how badly I spell.

I've given up on the election. I don't like any of them.

It's late I have to be up early for work, so I'll quit rambling. I've been trying to keep up with everyone, even if I'm not commenting I am there!

Please continue to pray vigilently for Chis and Patricia as they go to the doctor to see what to do next. I'm not sure any of us can even begin to understand their pain.

I only corrected 3 spelling errors, so if there's more I missed them.

I almost changed the "good" in this sentence...We are lucky that Sophie and Keegan have so many good grandparents in their lives.

to amazing, wonderful, awesome, stupendous, fabulous, terrific.... but I figured you might notice.
