Keegan's a Well Baby
At least he is according to the doctor. He weighs 16 pounds, 4 ounces. He went from the 30th percentile to the 75th in both weight and height in just two months! I knew he was getting big, but good grief!
I've been pretty dang busy lately with work and CASA stuff. The next few weeks will be crazy busy, but after that I'm looking at a relaxed summer. That is something to look forward to. I noticed that my favorite diner in town lost a waitress so I may see if they would want to hire me for one day a week or so, but I haven't made up my mind yet. The money would be nice, but with Jacob at the academy all summer I may just want to be with my kids.
I haven't talked much about him leaving, and there is a reason. It just makes me cry. I know that there are worse things, it's not like he is going overseas, but it is still the longest we will have ever been apart, and I don't like the thought of my heart being so far away.
On a brighter note, my man is getting me the the best. mother's day. present. ever. EVER. That's right folks, I am getting a ticket to go with some girlfriends to see one of my favorite singer/songwriters off all time...
drum roll please...
NEIL DIAMOND.
Oh yeah, baby!
I'll be searching for the perfect pair of sequined underwear to sling up on stage.
Hello, my friend, hello.
What else is going on around here... let's see. I found the exact scent of body spray that I wore in high school at the dollar store the other day. Now Jacob spends all his time at home smelling and molestering me. I'm seriously considering throwing it away.
I went to the doctor the other day because I was pretty sure my lung was about to explode, and I was close. I have pleurisy, I don't know how I got it or why, but I do know that it is terrifically painful and puts me in a terrible mood (sorry guys) and that I love anti-inflammatory's. I am now feeling better and able to breathe without being tempted to curse.
I would like to apologize to any readers that are English majors for the run-on sentence above.
Sophie loves bubbles. She calls the dandelions that you blow on "bubble flowers". I like that.
The well baby of the house is starting to become a fussy baby, so I'll catch up more later.

I say buy a case of the body spray. If Jacob ever slows down, it'll be nice to see how he reacts when you're 80.
Neil Diamond? Seriously? Is there anything the doctor can give you for that? ;)
I'm glad you're feeling better.
I'm glad Keegan is doing so well! I love his roly poly pictures on your mom's blog. :-)
