I don't know that I've mentioned it lately...

but I am really excited that Jacob is coming home. In fact... I probably have NOT mentioned it because I've been trying not to dwell on the fact that he is graduating FRIDAY. As in, two days from now. And I get to go pick him up tomorrow and we will stay with some good friends in Indy. Then we go back down and he graduates Friday morning, then we are going back to stay another night with our friends. I am so excited that my heart feels like it could burst into a gazillion pieces.

And the fact that I am overwhelmingly proud of him doesn't help the whole heart situation. Jacob is graduating with an honors certificate, one of 12 out of a class of well over 100. To get this you had to have an average score of at least 95% on all written tests and score an expert level on all practicals. To top that... he is graduating fourth in his class, earning extra recognition for "outstanding academic achievement".

Be. Still. My. Heart.

I can't believe that the skinny little kid I fell in love with is doing this, and at the same time I am totally not surprised because he's just that guy. You know, the one who does whatever he sets his mind to. The one who if he says he will do it, does it and does it really well. That guy. I'm married to him.

Just a little proud of him. Just a bit. Hee hee.

So anyway, I'll be gone for a few days- off to celebrate with Officer Jacob.
