And thanks to all...
for the advice both here and in person. I've got some new ideas to try now, and trust me, I will be trying them ALL.
In other news...
Jacob and I went to go see Fireproof this afternoon. If you haven't seen it-- go. We laughed and I cried. Jacob says he didn't cry, that he just had a tear gland malfunction. Or that he was cutting onions. Or his allergies were really bad. Or he had a bit of dust in his eyes. Anything but cry. But I don't know, kids. It looked like he had some spillage of some sort. What do I know, huh? Thanks to Momma for watching the kids so we could go on our date!
Sophie and Keegan have been in a great stage together. They spend most of the day playing with each other and cackling like little insane children. Home is a fun place to be right now (except, of course, at bedtime).
It seems like every day I get further away from having babies and more into having KIDS. I have mixed feeling about this, sometimes it's a welcome change and sometimes it just catches my heart up in my throat and I have my own tear gland malfunction.
Sophie is getting more and more conversant every day. My favorite thing she does right now is exclaim that the mess she just made was an "axeadent". It goes along these lines: "Mommy, uh oh. UH OH. Ho-She mate mess on fwoor. It was axedent, Mommy. Ho-she teen up axedent mess, Mommy. Hum on, Mommy, YOU helwp teen up axedent mess. Hum on!" Translation: Sophie make mess on floor. It was an accident. Sophie clean up accident mess. Come on!" etc...
I'm not sure why she mixes up her S sounds and H sounds, but she calls herself Ho-she and calls ice cream ho-sheen. Today she made ho-sheen out of the bubbles in the bath tub and proceeded to feed the ho-sheen to Keegan. Nice.
