Dysfunction

That would be the title for my day. It started off with a Kiwanis meeting I attended at crack o' dawn thirty to do a gimme money pitch for work. Two people showed up. Stupid weather. Then it was off to court for CASA, where after an hour and a half of waiting I find out my case was rescheduled. Then after I got home I made two messes, dropped a basket of folded clothes, and poked myself in the eye WITH THE VACUUM. Yeah. The in-between parts of my day were spent at the hospital visiting a friend who just had a pre-mature baby (more on that in a minute) and going to church. My day just ended with a bang of water, dumped into Sophie's crib from her last minute "wanna drink" to stave off bed time. New pajamas, new sheets, stuffed animals in the dryer, the whole works.

Sometimes you just have to laugh, and today has been one of those days. It's been quite comical, actually. Other than my eye hurts, even still. I am such a doof.

I did that with the vacuum once, when I leaned down to get the cord - poked the handle right in my eye. Even as I was standing up, I was already thinking how stupid this would be to explain if I had a black eye.

Not that when YOU did it, it was stupid - when you did it, it was heridatary. You can't help that :)

The best part about those kind of days is when they end.

I hope today is better.

I may be able to top your vacuum cleaner experience.
Yesterday,I was shredding paper and a piece of paper was laying on the floor, so I lean over to get it and the string in my hoodie went into the shredder, the next thing I know I am being pulled along. Thank goodness it finally choked the shredder before the shredder choked me. So I'm not going to call myself a doof, I will leave that for more competent people to judge.
You are my favorite doof and I love you.
