Sophie Goes to the Zoo

Hey Dad, what's that?

Checking out the parrots.

I'm looking at something really hard...
I need to look a little closer....
it was a little flamingo. Mom took a picture of it but it was all blurry. Some flamingos just are not meant to be photographed, I suppose.

I played in the fountains and got all wet! I also went down my first spiral slide, which I was not too sure about.

Dad, what's that? Hey Dad...

Hey Dad, look at me feed this goat. They love this stuff!

Dad- this monkey was looking at me funny.

What's going on with this hole?

What's that over there, Dad?

Jacob and I both took the day off for our anniversary and took Sophie to the zoo. I have been so excited about taking her, and she loved it just as much as I hoped she would. She never slowed down for a second. I think her favorite was the pig, where she kept trying to make a snort noise. She also loved the monkeys, the giraffes and the hippo (who she kept trying to share her juice with). She walked all over, which is no small feat there because it is ALL hills. Big, steep hills. So she would ride for a while, then get out and walk and explore. She walked more today than she has ever before. She was so into everything that she didn't fuss at all. Not even once. It was really kind of weird. But as soon as we put her in the car she crashed. I'm thinking she will sleep good tonight at Momma's, where she is staying so that we can go out for a movie.

We had a great, great day. She is incredibly fun and we enjoy her company immensely!

Your zoo looks like so much fun! I'm envious that you have giraffes. We love giraffes in this house, but our zoo isn't big enough for have one. Evidently.
